How it works

1. 1Enter your business details. Add your business name, logo, address, contact details and tax ID. Everything stays in the editor — nothing is uploaded.
2. 2Add receipt and customer details. Fill in the receipt number, date and time, order reference, cashier, currency and payment status, plus optional customer details.
3. 3Add items and totals. Enter item names, quantities, unit prices and optional per-line tax. Apply a discount, tax, service charge, shipping, tip and other charges — the totals recalculate instantly.
4. 4Choose the format and design. Pick a Standard or Thermal receipt layout, then customize the template, accent color and which sections to show.
5. 5Download, print or save. Download a vector PDF named after your receipt number, print with A4 or thermal-friendly styles, or save an opt-in draft in this browser to continue later.

Best practices

• Use a unique receipt number per transaction and keep your own record of issued numbers — this tool starts at RCPT-001 as a suggestion and does not guarantee uniqueness.
• Record the transaction reference exactly as it appears on the payment provider or bank statement so the customer can verify it.
• Describe each item clearly so the customer can verify exactly what they paid for.
• Confirm the tax treatment (GST, VAT or sales tax) that applies to your products or services — the tax fields here are calculation helpers, not tax or legal advice.
• Double-check the discount, tax and amount received before issuing; the change and balance due are calculated automatically from your inputs.
• Only include safe payment details — never card numbers, CVV codes, PINs or banking passwords on a receipt.
• A receipt is not an invoice: it confirms a payment already received, while an invoice requests payment. Use the Invoice Generator when you need to bill a customer.
• All processing happens in your browser, so your receipt data never leaves your device unless you send the downloaded file yourself.

Supported currencies and formats

Create receipts in 11+ currencies — USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AUD, CAD, JPY, CNY, SGD, AED, SAR and more — with Intl.NumberFormat-based formatting that follows each currency's decimals (zero-decimal currencies like JPY never show spurious cents). Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo (and optional seal) up to 2 MB each, add up to 100 line items with optional per-line tax and HSN/SAC codes, and choose between a Standard A4 receipt and 58 mm or 80 mm Thermal layouts. Download a vector PDF or print straight from the browser. Everything is processed locally.

Privacy & data removal

The Receipt Generator runs 100% in your browser. Your receipt data, logo, seal and totals are never uploaded to any server, and no account is required. Drafts are saved only when you click Save Draft, stored locally in your browser under a versioned key, and can be cleared anytime with Clear Draft. This tool never sends, stores or processes payments, never asks for full card numbers, CVV codes, PINs or banking passwords, and it never loads URLs or images you enter as content.
